In mid-2025, I flew into Newman to work with a facilitator from Grounded Impact to capture the voices of Aboriginal people in Port Hedland on kidney health issues in the region. Over the course of the day, we met with roughly a dozen local Indigenous residents to yarn about their concerns surrounding health assistance, cultural practices when dealing with treatment, and general living. From the robust discussions, five separate scribes covering five questions were created.
